We focused on simplification and refinement when updating market-leading digital agency EQU’s workplace on St George’s Terrace. The client had recently undergone a rebrand, shortening its name from Equilibrium to EQU, and they wanted their new workplace to better reflect their values, agility and corporate professionalism.

Our design responds to the energy and innovation of the digital industry, with a contrasting black-and-white colour palette driving the space’s dynamism. Colour and materiality delineate the front desk area from workstations, collaboration hubs and formal meeting rooms. The introduction of spherical shapes and patterns provides visual interest, from the circular forms in the “touch down pods” (small, fully equipped spaces for informal meetings) to soft-formed furniture contrasted with hard futuristic pieces, and custom-made geometric ceiling treatments that align with the building’s architecture.
