Interior Design

With locations in Sydney and Melbourne, global law firm Pinsent Masons wanted to expand its Australian presence and open a new office on St Georges Terrace in Perth. Known for its innovative and progressive approach, the firm wanted the new corporate space to reflect its values, support the technological requirements of an international team and embody a sense of people, community and connection to the natural environment.

Guided by the views of the Swan River and Perth’s bright, outdoor-oriented lifestyle, our design centred around the idea of the team’s collaborative culture, with a bright and modern interior that offered multipurpose spaces for focus, rest, conversation and social gathering.

The materials and finishes draw from the texture and sandy tones of Western Australia’s coastal landscape, including natural stone flooring, warm timbers and undulating sculptural fabrics. Blue and desert-red accents throughout the workplace reflect the sky and land, with hanging oversized knitted structures by Dutch designer Petra Vonk used to both soundproof and spatially define communal zones.
