Description

Heartbeat High is one of Perth’s most popular reformer and mat pilates studios. With the business rapidly growing, owners Phoebe Woodhead and Olivia Stell approached Design Theory with plans to open two new studios in Cottesloe and Shenton Park that reflected its anthem of feel-good movement in a vibrant, inspiring atmosphere.

Our design approach called for balancing the functional requirements of a pilates studio space, highly-attuned to the distinctive experience of the Heartbeat High brand. Bold reds, peach and blues, along with controlled ambient lighting and a mix of built-in and statement furniture pieces injected flavour, personality, activity and calm to the modern pilates venue. Statement elements such as a feature wall constructed of glass blocks, polished concrete floors, and colourful tile and terrazzo finishes, have further helped solidify Heartbeat High’s popularity, recognition and reputation as a market leader in Perth’s health and wellness sector.

Building on the success of the first two locations, Heartbeat High also engaged Design Theory to design a third studio in White Gum Valley.
